How often do you use the whole rev range on your car?

is it bad to use it if your car has a slight thirst for oil?

1. Yes pretty much every time I drive it.

2. It depends how much oil and what car it is.

Not everyday, but once every 2 or 3 days. I do it multiple times while autocrossing though.

1. Rarely; that's the beauty of having most of the power/torque off idle

2. Yes; the last thing you want to do is starve your motor for oil at high rpms

1. Not often, my car revs funny.

2. Probably depends

I use all of the RPMs somewhat regularly, but my engine does like to drink some oil so I keep a close eye on the fluid levels.

I have enough low end grunt to never really have to rev passed 4k, but truth be told U love going fast. So I dump the rev limiter once every 2 of 3 days

I drive an FR-S (an already underpowered car) at 8,000 feet. It's incredibly slow up here. Leaving work, I have to turn, from the parking lot, left onto a busy 2-lane highway. It takes the full rev range to get up to speed and not get my ass run down.

What do you mean 'how often'? Every time I'm going up the gears, of course. Do you mean there are people who shift up before redline?

You always have to if you have only 100 horsepower

Honestly, pretty rarely. My car has enough low end grunt (BMW N54 twin turbo) that I rarely have to wring it out all the way to redline (7000 rpms). Once in a while I will just for the fun of it, but I rarely need to. I usually just shift around 4000 or so. Also, I don't like winding it up until the oil is warmed up.
